One of my fav pieces. And ivory is incredibly difficult to carve from. The high level of detail, done so small, is mindblowing.

no, I got your point, but I mean...This piece was made in the 18th century. And to disregard it as a beautiful piece of art due to its medium is kind of strange. Yeah the ivory trade is awful but that’s not the point of this piece. Everyone knows about the ivory trade already.
