What exactly is creating this light?
-
-
-
Apparently human bioluminescence is "the result of highly reactive free radicals produced through cell respiration interacting with free-floating lipids and proteins".
-
Now that's amazing!

Is that perhaps the "aura" some people claim to see around a person? Can it be that they have a bit more sensitive eyes that pick up small hints of this?
-
Most aura claims are made in full daylight - where even scientific instruments could not detect this light, since it's very faint in comparison. It's not impossible that someone could see this glow in pitch dark though, but not as the multi-hued auras most new-agers describe.
-
Yeah, that's true. They claim to see all kinds of colours. But I wonder if there is some correlation with Kirlian Photography. > https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirlian_photography …

They need to do the same test with pregnant women to see if they actually "glow."

We can all see it just depends on what spectrum you are looking at.
-
So infrared goggles simply "highlight" this low level spectrum?
-
Infrared goggles display light in a different non-visible spectrum. Humans (and all other things) glow in that spectrum. Humans ALSO glow in the visible spectrum according to this new research, but not very brightly.
-
What Is the color of the light that Is in the visible Spectrum?
-
Mostly blue, a little red.
-
Thank you!

Well, if you're considering brightness that we can't detect with our eyes, then literally everything glows, simply by thermal radiation.
