Except Anish Kapoor owns the rights to it and doesn't allow any other artist to work with it now because he's a jerk.
But if anyone's interested, there's an alternative called Black 3.0 made by @stuartsemple and it's about to become fully public since it was just funded!

I actually own two bottles of the stuff myself since I was part of the crowd funding, and it's super cool. Here's a link for when it eventually becomes accessible to everybody!https://www.culturehustleusa.com/products/black-3-0-the-worlds-blackest-black-acrylic-paint-150ml …

Scumbag artist Anish Kapoor is the only person who can paint with it though. If you want to have something only slightly less black, search Black 3.0 by Stuart Semple.
-
How is he the only one that can use it?

Good article to summarise, not sure if it mentions Black 3.0 tho, which absorbs 99.6%https://www.format.com/magazine/features/art/anish-kapoor-stuart-semple-vantablack-blackest-black …

If I ever get rich, I'm ordering a skin suit made of this so I can finally disappear
-
good luck with that- noted scumbag Anish Kapoor has claimed all rights to use this substance and this lasts as long as he's alive
-
So it's decided - we have to assassinate Anish Kapoor

For people who haven't heard of this stuff, I'm pretty sure it's being developed for use inside of space telescopes to help produce clearer images.

Vantablack: the shade that's incredibly surreal to look at, somehow copyrighted by one guy, and apparently slightly radioactive.

For artists who want a paint that's almost exactly as black as Vantablack, but much cheaper, safer, and legal, look up "Black 2.0" by Stuart Semple.
-
How much does it cost and can it be applied to a mask?
-
It's $20 on Amazon and I don't know, I've never used it, but probably.
