Great for when you live home alone and don't want to get murdered after a long day of work because some murderer is waiting for you in your bedroom and you see them through your doorknob and run but otherwise not so much

Lol, I see it happening the exact opposite, seems more so useful for a stranger to hide out in your house, spying on you without you knowing they are there.

Yeah, with a portal, some semi transparent image or something, a glass shader, some lighting magic, that thing could be done by a beginner like me And it would look as real as those pictures do. Or even better, depending on whether you've actually got a good GPU
