I love how much she owned that role. The film was released in like '39(?), and she kept appearing in costume all over the place for years. Mister Rogers' Neighborhood, the Paul Lynde Halloween Special (with KISS), and apparently Sesame Street, which is news to me.

When she disappeared as the witch, MH had to walk backward over her skirt onto a platform w/ smoke & fire. It ended up putting her in the hospital for 6 weeks after her costume & broom caught on fire 🔥 #wizardofoz #margarethamilton #fxpic.twitter.com/MFVDgQhnl7
