In the 1980s, Garfield’s creator Jim Davis wrote “Primal Self”. A house cat called Tigger meets an ancient, primal, dangerous, possibly evil force, causing him to revert to an entirely feral statepic.twitter.com/7lwcBeXeSe

In the last panel of this comic, Tigger was shown attacking the old woman who owned him. This was also said to be one of Garfield's past 8 lives

This was from a very weird, very high-concept (for Garfield) book that, it memory serves, explored Garfield’s nine lives. It’s as close as Jim Davis ever got to an art book.

I am totally impressed. And I can attest that only a cat person would still accept the feral, primal, most likely evil flesh-gnawing version of their lil catty. Any day of the week. Even Mondays.
