They actually turned that into an anime. Junji collection or something like that in case u wanted to check it out

heard it's bad. like, it's scary, but doesn't hold up to the original works.

There are some decent story adaptions (like the tomie ones), but even at its best none of them come remotely close to comparing to the source material. Its just too cheaply produced and uninspired as an anime. They dont make any effort to retool it to work better in the medium

It absolutely is not a replacement for the manga works. I’d definitely feel bad for those who were unfortunate enough to be introduced to his works through it.
