  That movie disturbed me in a good way when I was a little kid. Made me ask questions. Made me feel compassion. The things art should do, and kids shouldnt be shielded from it. The remake? I lasted about 15 minutes and I wanted to like it.

  God, I saw this when I was a kid and I loved it. The animation was gorgeous and the story was brutal, not like the other soft shite that held your hand while you whimpered. Amazing theme by Mike Batt and Art Garfunkel.
