My mind when I read the sentence “The net is also marble.”pic.twitter.com/EHXpGL0hmv
That is amazing. How is it possible that isn't something everybody has seen? That should be taught in every s hool.
I love going to s hool.
That moment when you realise "yes, the net as well."
I feel shame for having never heard of Queirolo before & I thank @41Strange for bringing them to my attention. Magnificent.pic.twitter.com/gQx7CrwSIP
I've seen this in person in a small out of the way church in Italy and there are several incredible pieces inside including the "Veiled Christ". You have nothing but reverence as you view the pieces and can only marvel at how such incredible work was done with such simple tools.
Where exactly is it?
Thank you. It's been years since I was there and I have a horrible time with names. Hahaha
wait, what? the rope is carved from the same piece of marble?!? holy crap
You can’t believe the net is also marble until you see the 3rd photo close up...the work of a master craftsman at the very top of his trade
It looks real. Amazing
Yeah, I don't think I've ever seen before! Impressive!
