Erm. Not really. The wooden parts got completely destroyed not the clock itself - which is the oldest part. The repairs were done by july 1948. (read the article again) Its normal for historical monuments to be rebuild over time and have newer parts, That don't make them less

That's a good photo, you can really see the detail! As you can see, it's a fairly old clock (1580) The months and astronomical objects are in Latin (though the days are in German) and it does not account for the precession of the Equinoxes Otherwise pretty accurate =)
