It's interesting because the film's animation is almost deliberately rough and "unpretty," yet then we get the "Bright Eyes" sequence with the Black Rabbit of Inle, and it's one of the loveliest, most memorable film sequences of my life. It moved me so much. I'll never forget it.
Bonus points if you also had to sit through The Plague Dogshttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0vqWzquBh0c …
(still weeping)
Outstanding film
Nonononononononoooo [rocks back and forth in fetal position]
I've never seen it.
What's it about?
Can't be more disturbing than Donnie and Frank.

One of my all-time favorite movies!!
i haven't seen it in so long
Need a Frank fix soon!
So many weird things happened that year. Including rabbit psychotropics apparently.pic.twitter.com/0GGTDwVTe0
I saw this in the theater as a small child and have been traumatized ever since.
I named one of my cats Blackavar. #neverforget
Is this the one where bunnies were ripping each other with lots of blood!?
I mean if you look at it that way
I actually hasnt seen it, but I saw those scenes from a compilation video about "most brutal scenes in non-kids cartoons". There was also one scene from Plague Dogs, that I watched afterwards. Maybe I should watch Watership down as well. I know there is another one but for kids.
While the mature visuals are a staple of the story, it’s the overall narrative and how rich it really is that stuck with me. I do recommend watching it and also reading the novel by Richard Adams if you get the chance. He also wrote the original novel for The Plague Dogs as well.
Oh, didn't know that. Thanks!!!
