        generally back then (as is today) it refers to "inactive ingredients" or less active ingredients, ranging from water, coloring, flavors, preservatives, vitamins, sugars, salts, etc etc etc

        of coarse back then not a lot of effects of some ingrediants were known or needed to be listed... so that could include a LOT of things that could be poweful... like cocaine
