No. The 1979 Langella movie was intended as an adaptation of the Broadway play, but they didn't use Gorey’s sets. However, there is a toy theatre.

That is stunning! I discovered Gorey through John Bellairs novels when I was a kid, and I was obsessed! The simple pen and ink are so classic- they draw you into his world.

I saw him in this. He was AMAZING. I was/am a huge fan. I went to see him whenever I could and chatted with him after The Cherry Orchard for a while. He was lovely, humble and gracious. A tremendous loss.

I am awash with jealousy! The only Dracula I was aware of back then was Frank Langella. Raul must have been incredible. I'm glad to hear he was good to his fans. The world is just not right without him in it.

He spent a long time chatting with me. I asked him why he never had his bio in the playbills, he usually had info on the Hunger Project. He said, no one cares about my bio, I'm not important, feeding people is important.
