        I have always thought Lady Liberty seems vexed. Uber serious. Not even a hint of a smile. It seems odd for a figure welcoming people to a country as she was. I don’t know much about her model or the designer. Perhaps there is a story there.

        I was reading that she shares a similar look with the statue on the dome in Washington. There is actually a lot about her design and style on Wikipedia-thanks for sharing this pic. It was interesting finding out more about her!
