How does it look cleaner???
-
In 1890 it would've been brand new, without decades of brake dust and powdered bits of commutator brushes building up everywhere.
-
I know dude, I meant it humorously.

Not pictured: the cage helmed rail guardians who use steel and flame to stand sentry at the tunnel mouths lest the ratkin from the underdark swarm up and devour the world of man. We tend not to mention them in the tourism videos.

Weird choice of material for a platform
-
what, wood? platforms are often made of wood they only got rid of the last wooden escalator recently
-
This was inside a tunnel and during the time the London Underground was using only steam locomotives. This would’ve been a fire hazard
-
no, the deep tube was electric from the start.
-
Well if that’s the case (which now I am sure of it) then I can see why they used wood. But I thought this was just the normal underground and not the deep tube.

that's not 1890. It's just Rees Mogg's personal tube stop.
