Who’s the artist?
-
Qi Baishi (1864 - 1957) was a Chinese famous painter. Actually his pieces are awesome. I am not sure if this alien piece is authentic though, whatever, it looks great. https://duckduckgo.com/?q=Q%C3%AD+B%C3%A1ish%C3%AD&t=ffab&atb=v142-7__&iax=images&ia=images …

Yeah, this definitely isn't a piece of Qi Bashi's, just someone working in his style. I'd just love to know who the actual artist of this piece is in order to support them (and also so they get credit for their work that's being shared with thousands of folks).

Oh sorry, I understand what you mean. I have read about this piece in some article. Someone bought this piece at the market in China, so no one knows who drew this piece. It is a mystery. I'd love to know, too. He must be a genius

Thanks! Indeed it is very likely it was painted as a parody. Wish the painter would come out... I like Qi Baishi's signature on the shrimp piece, "Qi Baishi the old man, aged 83 " in Chinese characters that shows he had a sense of humore. He must have been attractive.

It is a kind of romantic question. Qi Baishi seemed to love natures, I also wonder what would he think if he saw the aliens. Even only imagining makes me fascinated.
