Little known fact, the term "Brownie" is derived from Scottish "Browneye" which pertains to if the person couldn't provide payment, the person would present his/her "brown-eye" (butthole) for the tiny men to penetrate. Once they finished up, the person would wipe up, and be done.

I've never heard of nisse doing housecleaning. They're mainly mischievous troublemakers. But they do like grød, especially around Jul. I usually leave a bit for them in our attic, to passivate them a bit.
