In Japanese Folklore, the 'Tenjōname' is a spirit that comes out of the darkness on cold winter nights and licks your ceiling. If you catch sight of a Tenjōname while it is doing its business, you die (Illustration: Matthew Meyer)pic.twitter.com/8A8XUUWVNi

I decided to look up why it does it and it seems it licks ceilings because of dirt, frost, or spider webs.

Okay, okay, let me at it: Vo-Onu is a creature covered in slime that enters your kitchen sink at night, making all dishes left in it smell awfully. If you see it, you die.

You have a florid interior life; it's marvelous. Was so happy to hit you spur of the moment for recommendations at the Louvre and get a response. So much fun (and such compelling painting).

Though a little shy, I wont be shy about that. If you come to NYC for a museum please let me know, I'll come with 11 and shake hands and look at art and probably tear up. Not sure if it's a blessing or curse. Blessing I think but 11 makes fun of me.
