Also, his short story "Room 1408" about a haunted hotel room is one of the freakiest and best I've ever read.

That place. I live in Colo. stayed there many times. We stayed on 4 th Floor. And.... moved in the middle of the night. There . SERIOUSLY. Is something not right. In that place. Period.

I went up with a friends family as a teenager, her folks went to the bar and we were left in the room. We heard kids playing in the hallway with a ball. It kept going so we thought we’d see, open the door and no one in the hall. Close it, started up again just outside the door.

EXACTLY! And. The slide chain on the door was jumping on its own. Bang on the door. Ok. I got up undid the chsin, waited. BANG. I opened that door within 2 seconds... nothing. No one there. We moved. It is a story...

We were teens, didn’t know the stories, to young to be afraid. We ended up sneaking down the fire escape and trolling around the grounds in the dark. That was scary! We hustled up to the room in short order. Ha.

yowz. U know the carrige house as u drive in? We learned on history tour. In the old days. They piled stiffs who died in there untill they could be trained out in the spring. No WAY!! Would I prowl around! U are Way braver than moi -
It was just teenagers bored in an old hotel, we got spooked outside but figured it was just us being stupid. I didn’t read stories until long after my friend passed away and thought, good thing she never knew! Lol
