Caga Tió is only the song. The tradition is based on feeding a trunk during the pre-Christmas period. The name that receives the trunk is El Tió.

When our kids were younger we went to the forest every year to search for it. I used to hide it with leaves while my wife made our kids look on another side. When they finally found it they were happy as only children can be.
