Holy hell did these people need television.
Nah, they had families and communities.
also, indoor fire games and uncles under the influence of lead paint.
Yet somehow they were able to produce a cohesive society, compare them to our inner city populations struggling with lead, alcohol and uncles.
eh, no. The victorian era is known for extremely large differences between rich and poor, child labor, crazy bad/unhealthy working conditions and very little worker's rights (long hours, low pay, no sick leave). It would be terrible to live compared to now.
