If someone walks into your place of work with a weapon I'm pretty sure you're better off if they have a knife than if they have a gun.

false. I'd rather they have a gun. Most people don't know how to use a gun, and most don't even want to use it. But if someone comes in with a knife, not only are they serious about using it, but they'll mess you up worse than someone with a gun.
