        I got nothing on the rings. If they were time lapse, you'd see streaks in the sky from the stars moving across the sky.

        Could've done a composite shot with one being the sky, then editing out the sky for the remainder photos, also the one with three halos was most likely 3 separate shots, otherwise you would've seen streaks from the drone going to all peaks

        Not necessarily. The lights on the drone could just have been shut off between peaks.

        this is fantastic, these photos feel like almost a logical progression of tokihiro sato's landscapes; sato uses a view camera to take very long exposures and painstakingly uses a mirror to create spots or streaks of light in the frame http://photoarts.com/gallery/sato/satoexh.html …
