It's an incredibly selfish attitude to think you're above standard, modern citation practices; it's also selfish to think that you don't owe the artist even something as simple as an @ mention or a link to their portfolio.

I'm unsure where the distinction between "showcasing" and "promotion" is for you, but it's a flimsy distinction regardless. These people toil away for days at a time over this art for people to consume for maybe ten seconds tops, and you have the audacity to have curated
