Bernie Wrightson is one of my favourite artists, I remember getting swamp thing when I was a kid and being in awe of the art. It wasnt like anything I had seen before!

that's it! the corpse reaching up esp. reminded me. used to read these at my grandparent's cabin in the northern MN woods. back then I just loved the sheer terror. only now do I appreciate how great the art was.
