The first one feels a little too blunt to be used as a poster but the second one is ominous and leaves the viewers mind to wander about what's going to happen We need another thing movie to make up for the shitty 2011 remake With actual practical effects
2011 movie wasn't a remake. It was the prequel of the 1982 movie.
Doesn't change the fact that it was absolute shit Cashing in on a pre existing movie and cutting corners to make a quick buck
Nah man. They spent several months working tirelessly on practical effects. Sure it didn't need be made, but they really wanted to stay faithful. It was some asshole producer that decided last minute that practical effects looked "too 80's".https://youtu.be/fBzpT7VmSaU
Are you serious?.. That's so fucked up More executive meddling....
I dare say, the second one is even better than the official poster.
I love the second one. It fits the movie perfectly, shows the isolation and doesn't spoiler anything.
I love this so freaking much
I mean that first one kinda gives the game away there
The dog one

Only the best movie of all time
These could be covers for the Criterion edition of The Thing
Oooo, those are coool!
I LOVE the one on the right! I could even hear the ominous artic wind & it's much better than the one they decided on. Oh well. The left one is aweful! Not scary at all. In fact, just the opposite; it's kooky. It looks like a B movie poster. Thx for sharing.
That’s 2nd one
I love The Thing, but... Blair makes a UFO out of chopper parts in a cave. In about a day. Whilst not far from the others. Really?
If he wanted to hide from the coming freeze he could have crawled into a small space & turned into a chrysallis. Very difficult to find without tearing up the whole base.
