I love his work! He paints in a very introverted way. That’s his wife Ida whom he often painted from behind, deep into her work, with the back of her neck visible to us. It always came off as secretive and yet very intimate to me.

The first time I saw Hammershøi's art was at the
@staedelmuseum in Frankfurt last year - they have 'Interior. Strandgade 30' (1901). I really like his compositions & use of light.pic.twitter.com/DfkKWt5FRZ
