Roald Dahl's fabulously macabre children's books are probably one of the things that has made me the person I am today. Looking at these pictures has put a huge smile on my face.

The illustration and text really worked in harmony for this book. I still think about the bits of egg speared in Mr. Twit’s bristly beard to this day.

Oh wow ... I have no explicit memories of this story, but I definitely recognize the illustrations and am positive that I saw and read this as a child even though I know nothing about it now ...

It's such a weird feeling to be confronted with something like "I absolutely remember this, but I have no memory at all of why I remember this."

Mr & Mrs Twit illustrated here perhaps devouring 'Slug and Slime Pie' as featured in our Monster Supplies Cookbook. Quite sure they would have washed it down with a Gallstone and Bile Smoothie. http://ow.ly/iYLt30kqqEd Dare to cook?
