Data in that report is junk, as most shops were closed so of course total numbers are down. Just ask any employee of Safeway, CVS or Walgreens and ask them about the last 18 months and shoplifting. Most also stopped reporting to police many months ago as it was waste of time.

This weekend SFPD is at the Walgreens on Mission at Ocean. Apparently SFPD asked for volunteers to work overtime to guard the hair care products while 4 blocks away we have a homeless guy selling drugs from an abandoned car.
