People rooting for crypto to be shut down are incredibly cringe. Like no one is trying to shut down the dumb fiat system you use, no one is forcing you to buy crypto, no one is forcing you to read crypto news or follow crypto twitter. Let people do what they want and chill…

Hank the Tank is gunning for me. He broke into two of my immediate neighbors homes, crashing through the front door of my next door neighbor while she was home! Yesterday I caught him on the other side of my fence, probing for weakness. (too fat to climb anymore)

Today I’m thrilled to announce an experimental podcast from @SierraRails. We’re going to be releasing conversations about lessons we’re learning working with junior engineers, from both manager and IC perspectives. anchor.fm/sierra-rails

A little #ethereum merge analogy. πŸ‘‡ Say there are 12 gold mines supplying all the gold to the world. Now imagine 11 of these mines dry up and the 1 remaining mine is the sole source of new gold. If the demand for gold stays constant, what happens to the price?

How is the not getting involved over code being censored/sanctioned? This is a very slippery slope. This is not just a crypto issue. Anyone who cares about individual privacy should be speaking up.
Getting arrested for writing privacy preserving code is out of line. This arrest makes all privacy/encryption developers a target. The worst part is people use privacy tools on a daily basis online, because the internet is an unsafe place without privacy or encryption.

How did everyone become so surveillance-pilled? Cash, a private payment sys, has been the default for centuries. You should be terrified that financial privacy is fleeting. Instead, not only are you accepting surveillance, you’re framing it as the default and championing it.

Tornado Cash, a service which exists to launder money, was shut down and attainted for laundering money, to the professed surprise of many crypto people. I am less surprised, and to extent I am surprised, it is that rigorous enforcement didn’t start in like 2017 or so.

1 week until the date is picked for mainnet merge. Assuming the Goerli testnet merge goes well next Wednesday, then the ACD call on Thursday will probably decide on the merge date. Final stretch for positioning.
The set up for ETH/BTC is the single best risk reward in crypto. Largest structural flow catalyst in history for ETH (Merge), massive sell flows for BTC (Mt Gox) both occurring simultaneously. This is a game of spotting enduring narratives before they form. I will bet on this.

My favorite Merge trades are long liquid staking derivatives (LDO, SWISE, RPL etc). Long ETH call spreads and long ETH/BTC. Of the three, ETH/BTC is my single favorite. It's going to be a long few months for BTC maxis. twitter.com/NorthRockLP/st…
