Not petty prosecutions, getting drug dealers out of the city and getting the addicted to treatment. Instead SF is an open air drug market

You keep saying you aren't arguing for something you are arguing for. You don't have any new ideas beside the same failed war on drugs over and over again, nothing to actually address why there's suck a demand for drugs

You are saying the only 2 options are mass incarceration or open air drug market. That is not the case

You haven't proposed anything besides mass incarceration. I've said repeatedly that the rest of government needs to step up address the problem with something besides cops and jails.

I have already proposed mandating treatment and banning drug dealers, neither of which necessitates mass incarceration. It's the classic Chesa move, implement bad policy then claim there's nothing you can do

Straw man. The point is more are in SF now thanks to Chesa. If Chesa can't make a difference why is he there? Why did he run? I thought his progressive policies would make things better?

There will always be drug dealers if there is a demand for drugs, and the economy being shit has more to do with demand for drugs than how much prosecuting the DA does.

No kidding. There will always be murder, theft, rape. The solution isn't to just let everyone free like Chesa is doing

He's still prosecuting people for murder and rape, and only letting small level theft off without jail time. The DA can only react to existing crime, other positions are responsible for preventative programs.

No, he's not. There have been at least 3 deaths directly due to him letting people off

Do you think he had a crystal ball to predict those crimes before they happened?
