Seeing AI art being featured on the main page of Artstation saddens me. I love playing with MJ as much as anyone else, but putting something that was generated using a prompt alongside artwork that took hundreds of hours and years of experience to make is beyond disrespectful.

Just to state the obvious - I don't hate AI-generated art. I actually think it's an incredibly powerful that can be used ethically - creating mood boards, references, patterns. But claiming it as your own and putting it in your portfolio as-is is where the line should be drawn.

seems like more of an incentive for artists working to do whatever they can to produce work quickly/efficiently

Why would any artist create quickly/efficiently? So their hard work can get stolen faster? If anything, the spread of AI art will cause artists to be more restrictive of who, & for what purpose, their art is used for. Possibly driving up prices. Then what will AI art be based on?
