Of the 36 overdoses, 6 were by women and 30 were by men. 4 of 36 overdoses (1 woman, 3 men) resulted in fatalities. The ages of the fatalities were 29, 41, 47, and 58 years old.

5 were black (4 of which were non-hispanic), 31 were white (30 of which were non-hispanic). The aforementioned fatalities involved 3 white non-hispanic men and 1 white hispanic woman.

Only 21 of those who overdosed were residents of Northampton proper, 5 were from Florence and 2 were from Leeds ("villages" within Northampton that have separate ZIP codes). The remaining 8 were all from different towns in the region, coming as far as from Pittsfield and Erving.

Narcan was available in 23 of the incidents, however, 2 of those 23 incidents still resulted in deaths. The youngest overdose was 21 years old, the oldest was 59. The mean age was 38, and the median age was 36.

This covers all *unintentional* overdoses during 2017. I might look at 2016 (which includes intentional ODs and suicide attempts) later for comparison, but I'm all set for now.
