Atlanta, Miami, New Orleans, Houston Notice that Miami has several areas that are similar in density to Boston--but they are not clustered in the city center! Houston has fewer, but there too, they're scattered around the metropolitan area, not clustered downtownpic.twitter.com/j6gDCOx7Hh
Similar pattern visible here in DFW (and earlier in the thread, DC was an example of it)pic.twitter.com/bPMOKM3A3L
Chicago, Phoenix, LA, SF Los Angeles is much denser than people imagine! Both a cluster of high density in the center and scattered islands of density across the metropolitan regionpic.twitter.com/7YhksF19JD
Portland OR, famous for its good transit and urbanism, is quite sparse compared to Boston (or even LA) SLC, even after all those new houses and infill development, is in the same boatpic.twitter.com/ABfQcropU7
Western MA, where I live and work...also a few more from New England (Providence, Manchester, Portland ME)pic.twitter.com/HK6aeWvDt4
