here is zoomed-in view of part of central Tokyo--you can see that what appear to just be thick lines in the full-size map are actually *multiple services running parallel* in a similar manner to NYC subwaypic.twitter.com/at2DJA9757

I should also be perfectly clear about this: I'm teasing Seoul for having a less extensive network than Tokyo does, but Seoul's subway is still immaculately clean and run to very high standards of service and frequency (from what I'm told)

Oh one more thing...I have yet to find a Tokyo regional map that actually shows the different service patterns on each line! This is a diagram of those patterns for Odakyu...pic.twitter.com/O8hxPWgC1u

The first map I posted showed 4 Odakyu "lines," one for each branch + the Chiyoda thru service. The second only showed 2, one for Odakyu and one for Chiyoda. But the truth is much more complicated!
