What are you talking about, they all have much more temperate/tropical climates than the US counterparts. I don’t think it’s THE answer by any means but I don’t think it’s insignificant either

Maybe I could've picked better examples but they're in the same Koppen climate zones eg they have similar average daily temperatures and precipitation patterns--we can split hairs as to which city best matches exactly which, but the point stands
