Sapporo has four outbound service patterns--this is the timetable towards Teine and Otaru. Again, weekday and Saturday/Holiday timetables. It's possible I missed something, but p sure they're identical.pic.twitter.com/PW5jfxsoyt

Outbound to Ebetsu, Iwamizawa, Asahikawa, etc...no reduction in service on weekends. People *always* need to get around! There are routes in Japan w different weekday and holiday schedules, but they typically vary only in peak hours, w steady baseline service every daypic.twitter.com/YJH4rR9gpX

24 hour service is overrated--aim for consistent 7 days/week service! #TrainTwitterpic.twitter.com/675IC9CwZz
Am I meant to notice that the schedules are identical?
Actually, I keep forgetting to ask: What do you think of train schedules in relation to the keeping of Lord’s Day rest?
they ought to operate a full schedule--a day of rest isn't the same as a day of never leaving the house
So how should train workers get their religious days of rest, and how should we help them meet their spiritual needs?
The same way grocery stores are open 7 days a week while still giving employees days off--you employ more workers than it takes to stay open for a day
Shutting down shops on Sundays is very doable. Also merciful on mom and pop stores.
Mom and Pop stores can close whenever they like, as they might not employ surplus workers the way something people rely on (like transportation or grocery stores) does
