Why the discrepancy, when Northampton has a higher population, higher population density, is much closer to other cities and towns, and has a nicer climate? Well, Northampton only gets one train per day in each direction--whereas Nayoro gets 15 southbound and 7 northbound.
Now, 7 or 15 trains per day really isn't very much--at that frequency, even people going to other towns on the same line will only occasionally find it useful to take a train instead of driving. But it's clearly better than just one per day! Nothing matters as much as frequency!
How do you fund your apparent life of endless travel?
I have never been to Nayoro, this is just stuff I'm looking up online...
it looks cozy
