I wish more transit planners cared about trains being nice and not just about frequency. Like obviously high quality service is the most important thing, but it's frustrating seeing them scoff at the idea that comfort and amenities matter, too.

Comfort and attractiveness were explicit design goals for Montreal's Metro, I understand. They were trying to attract what we now call choice riders.
