"Meets or exceeds new structural safety specifications" Those specs are the same reason that a) there isn't a larger domestic industry making railcars and b) this one company isn't gonna get any export orders

LMAO I see that they were, in fact, liquidated a decade ago--replaced by "US Railcar" which appears to offer the same product but doesn't appear to have won any contracts

looking thru their doc, I find: "Acceleration and Braking Equal to Performance of EMU" Equal to what EMU, exactly? Their best accel is 38 seconds to 55mph; the e233 series gets to 55mph in 29 seconds
