*housing that's respectable. I'm sure there maybe a range , but it's the first time in a long time that average rent for a single-income household won't even be covered by a single earner at minimum wage.
On two minimum wage incomes, maybe not--although I'm curious, what's the town?

Trulia's giving me median rental prices per bedroom of $450~$750 per month, shouldn't be that hard for two earners to make it work

One decent middle-class income with job security. The purchasing power equivalent now a days of about 90k. Back then it was 55k.
