I've been skeptical about the Uber theory, but only because of info I had read from Boston--what's the catch re: NY?

...And getting the dispatches to communicate is out of the question?
-
Apparently! I've never heard of a technical obstacle to this, just inertia and bloody-mindedness
-
Driver always tells me he won't call dispatch--if they were in the same garage, driver would be happy to use bus-to-bus communication, but won't do anything beyond this if circumstances need it
-
How much do the drivers get paid, and are there problems with recruitment and retention?
-
Driver salaries are very good, I've never heard of any issues with recruitment or retention
-
So why are you getting drivers who won't even radio the garage if they're late?
-
drivers would never radio the garage if running late unless a passenger on-board was trying to connect to another bus that operates out of the same garage--and in that case they would radio the other bus and ask them to wait
-
Why not? Can you guys not explain to them that they should keep the dispatchers informed of where they are?
