there may not have been recent cuts, but if Uber etc are really siphoning off transit riders, it makes sense that they would do so at times when transit is least convenient--and in doing so, they prove that there is more demand for travel at those times than providers admit
what's the frequency tipping point for you two? I usually say 3/hr is the bare minimum for usefulness, 4/hr is when it starts to feel convenient

I will tolerate 2/hr for a direct trip. Agreed with you on 3/4 per hour; 6 per hour is good service.

yes--6/hr is the baseline daily frequency at my former station in Tokyo, Tsurukawa (it's a local-only stop; express trains all skip it so the actual baseline daily frequency on the Odakyu Line is higher)

I'm not sure, honestly. For an 8-km walk to the gaming store, 30-minute service is okay if it's reliable and on a takt.

But even 2 bph is marginal, because there'd be lots of walking at the Pawtucket end. 4 would be enough, 3 might be too. Might.
