Watching a BBC doc on UK railways, the opening bit is a bunch of passengers mad bc they're crowded at a waiting area. The agent says "yeah whenever you get more than 50 ppl here it gets packed." ...trains tend to carry more than 50 ppl, very bad design for a waiting area!

The whole British system is, for lack of a better word, evil - dehumanising for staff and cusomers. overexpensive, hostile to users; basic needs not met like warmth and food, run at such high utilisation that a single failure causes massive disruption

Overcomplicated - the process for buying a season ticket involves queuing with 100 other people; you can't buy one online as they need to pair it to a photo ID card because it is so valuable that people try to share them

Sadly, my driving commute in New Zealand is much much more pleasant than what I suffered when I lived in England.
