yes yes yes you can use a wide range of colors for walls but whatever you pick has to no clash with the aforementioned stairs and slabs

on the one hand, the emphasis on depth of surfaces means to build walls thicker than I'd be inclined to on the other, the visual sleight-of-hand employed in making diagonals means to build beams thinner than I'd be inclined to much to learn here
