This would almost certainly require adding track to the line so that freight service doesn't get throttled

I didn't mention in first tweet but this also presumes electrification of the line and switch to MUs for passenger trains

Rehab branches to Lower Falls (Newton/Wellesley), Saxonville (connection to Shopper's World in Framingham!), for passenger service

Also, direct connection to Logan Airport via Grand Junction Line--very high priority, prob higher than aforementioned branch lines

Not sure how well electrifying the line would work with double-stack freight...any examples of double-stack under catenary wire?

Now we need to get this done. What about time to Palmer?
-
What he was saying is headways - tph - so that would breakdown to 4 trains/hr to Worcester, 2/hr to Springfield, and 1/hr to Albany. 1/2
-
Interesting!!!
-
I think Palmer hold up as an express stop too, skip-stops would be in places like Charlton, South Spencer, the Brookfields (some of them)
-
This is a project that I've been committed to here in Palmer :)
-
There would have to be additional track and you would have to run tilting trains to take account for the curved trackage.
-
yes, tilting trains are essential for timely passenger service
-
I just want Palmer to be included in the discussions. This also has to be a regional effort.
