Agree on wide streets, but how wd you capture that space, except by massive demolition & rebuilding? Skinny bldgs? Extend existing bldgs?

With small scale demolition & construction over a long timeframe. Skinny buildings are good too, making existing building larger not so much

Big handicap in USA is that buildings tend to stick around a long time after being built...a high turnover rate makes things easier
