Usually people pushing for smaller buses in the US think it'll save money (which it rarely does bc the driver is the most expensive part)...

...but I think there's a much better case to be made for using smaller buses to work with street geometry better

This would mean currently crowded routes would get more crowded...but most bus routes operate well below capacity, so not a huge problem
