Obviously, Protestants have had to tangle with this passage for centuries--the consensus iirc is that the rock being referenced is faith...

Is the church the body or the bride?
-
Is God the Father or the Son?
-
What is the biblical basis for making that comparison?

The Bible discusses the Church as both the Bride of Christ and as the Body of Christ; my point is that the two are not contradictory
-
Where does it discuss the bride of Christ as the church?
-
