Sorry lads all the free-trade accords in the world aren't gonna make your trains better than Japanese ones on their own turf

The continental and Japanese ones we have in the UK are both shite from a user's point of view, but the Jap ones are more reliable
-
not sure if you have the same problem that we have in the US, where even JP built trains have to be built to insane US specs, ruining them
-
There's a regulatory quagmire over specs here, but the first Jap trains we had (Hitachi A-train variant) had too harsh a ride for our track
-
How has the javelin been? It looks good & so do the specifications. I'm unaware of rider experience.
-
Tried to carry my bike on one. No straps or racks to secure it. First time we hit a bump, it fell over, taking an old lady with it
-
Did Southeastern ever advertise bike carriers? I've noticed several operators advertise theirs.
-
Don't think so. In any case, turn-up-and-go bike capacity has gone downhill sharply since the end of first-generation multiple units

Hmm that looks like a renaissance car they're unloading there
